With the government shutdown leading to interruptions in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits as of November 1, 2025, many families and individuals in Central Florida are facing a sudden increase in food insecurity. When assistance is delayed or reduced, access to regular, nutritious meals becomes an urgent concern.
If you’ve been impacted by the loss of SNAP benefits, it’s important to know that there are food resources throughout Central Florida that are stepping up to help.
