Top 25 and Climbing: Vincent Ferguson’s Formula for Podcast Success in the Fitness World
May 10

With hundreds of fitness podcasts vying for attention in the digital space, few manage to break through the noise, let alone climb to the top of global rankings. But Vincent Ferguson has done just that. As the host of Six Weeks to Fitness, his mission to inspire healthier lifestyles has earned him a loyal following and a coveted spot at #23 on FeedSpot’s list of the Top 60 Fitness Podcasts in the world.
From candid conversations with health experts to motivational stories of transformation, Vincent’s show is an entire movement. We caught up with the wellness advocate and podcast host to talk about how Six Weeks to Fitness started, what’s fueling its growth, and what it really takes to build a successful podcast in today’s ever-evolving wellness landscape.
First off, congrats on making FeedSpot’s Top 25 Fitness Podcasts! What was your reaction when you found out?
Thank you! Honestly, I was honored and humbled. I’ve been pouring my heart into this show for years, and to have that effort recognized by FeedSpot felt like validation, not just for me, but for the incredible guests and listeners who’ve supported the journey. It’s a reminder that when you stay consistent and lead with purpose, people notice.
Did you ever imagine Six Weeks to Fitness would grow into what it is today?
Honestly, I had no idea that this small idea — launching the Six Weeks to Fitness podcast — would grow into what it is today. It’s proof that when you plant a seed, nurture it, and stay consistent, it can blossom into something truly meaningful. I’m incredibly grateful for how far the podcast has come and the impact it’s made. And the truth is, I believe I’m just getting started.
Take us back to the beginning—what sparked the idea for starting this podcast?
The idea came from my decades of experience in health and wellness, as a trainer, author, coach, and event organizer. But I wanted to go deeper. I recognized how powerful storytelling can be in inspiring change, especially in communities that often lack access to the resources they need.
The podcast became a platform where I could combine education, inspiration, and empowerment. It also gave me the opportunity to connect with incredible individuals and share their stories with my audience.
The title Six Weeks to Fitness has a great ring to it. What does the "six weeks" really represent in your message?
Great question. Six weeks is a realistic, achievable timeframe to kickstart real transformation. It’s long enough to see results, but short enough to stay committed. It’s about momentum — creating sustainable change by focusing on one goal, one step at a time, over six powerful weeks. I’ve seen participants in my Six Weeks to Fitness virtual programs lose as much as 20 pounds, reverse heart disease, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes, all within a 6-week period. There is no limit to what the human body can do in six weeks if one puts their mind and body into it.
What’s your secret sauce when it comes to keeping listeners engaged episode after episode?
It starts with authenticity. I don’t just interview guests — I connect with them. Whether it’s a celebrity trainer, a nutrition expert, or someone who lost 100 pounds, every conversation is about more than just information. It’s about transformation. I think listeners can feel that energy and intention, and that’s what keeps them coming back.
You’ve featured so many voices. What makes a guest the right fit for your show?
They have to have a story worth sharing — not just expertise, but heart. I look for guests who’ve overcome something, created something, or are giving back in a meaningful way. My audience wants more than tips — they want motivation, purpose, and proof that change is possible.
How has the Top 25 recognition impacted your audience, or even the types of guests you're attracting?
Actually, the ranking is 23 out of the top 60 worldwide. It’s definitely helped me attract higher-profile guests, and it’s also built more trust with new listeners. People see that ranking and know they’re tuning into something credible, something that’s made a real impact in the wellness space. It’s opened doors — and I’m excited to walk through them.

Any favorite guests or episodes that really left a mark on you personally?
I’ve interviewed over 230 guests, each with an incredible story to share. But if I had to highlight a standout, one of my top five interviews was with Orvel Douglas, also known as “The Black Fruitarian.” His episode has been viewed more than any other on my channel. Orvel’s journey began when he transitioned from being a meat-eater to a vegan, losing 50 pounds in just eight weeks.
He later adopted a fruitarian lifestyle and hasn’t looked back since. He went on to create the “Fruitarian Feast Challenge,” a program where participants have reportedly reversed serious conditions such as kidney disease, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and more, just by following his guidance. His interviews are always engaging, and for many of my listeners and viewers, truly life-changing.
Another guest in my top five is Karese Laguerre, a Myofunctional Therapist. Our interview was titled, “Stop! You’re Breathing Wrong!!” After speaking with Karese, I realized how many of our health issues stem from mouth breathing instead of proper nasal breathing. I could go on about these guests and the value they bring—but I think you get the point.
What's next for Six Weeks to Fitness? Any new directions or projects in the pipeline?
Absolutely. I’m expanding into more visual content with short-form videos, live interviews, and a renewed focus on wellness entrepreneurship. I’ve also launched a podcast publicity and promotion service on Fiverr, designed specifically to help experts, authors, coaches, and entrepreneurs amplify their message and build authority. This isn’t just about booking a podcast appearance — it’s a full exposure package.
Guests are featured on my Six Weeks to Fitness podcast, which is distributed across multiple major platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, and more. I also create custom teaser clips for social media, highlight the interview in my newsletter and blog, and offer optional support to reach new audiences.
It’s all rooted in the same mission I’ve always had: to inspire transformation through powerful, authentic conversations that leave a lasting impact. You can check out my Fiverr link at: https://www.fiverr.com/s/Ayl5PxR
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out with a podcast, especially in the health or wellness space?
Start with your “why” and stay consistent. There are a lot of voices out there, but if you stay authentic and speak from the heart, you’ll find your audience. Don’t worry about being perfect and don’t worry about the competition — just be real, be valuable, and keep showing up. If you do that, you will be successful.
For someone discovering the show for the first time, is there an episode you'd recommend they start with?
Yes, I’d recommend starting with my interview featuring Orvel Douglas, also known as “The Black Fruitarian.” It was his third appearance on the show, and it’s a great introduction to both my interview style and the type of impactful guests I bring on. Orvel’s energy, insights, and transformational journey truly resonate with listeners, and the episode continues to spark conversations.
